Multi-Language Support in Spotlight

Configuring the Interface Language Used by the Spotlight App


Verizon Connect Spotlight, beginning with version 1.12 released in March 2019, includes extended multi-language support for platform customers with Ultimate or Enterprise Fleet subscriptions.

These newer versions of the Spotlight app support 11 interface languages:

  • English
  • German
  • French
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Portuguese Brazilian
  • Spanish
  • Czech
  • Dutch
  • Lithuanian
  • Polish

Multi-Language Support in Verizon Connect

All languages supported by the Spotlight app are visible by default in the platform if you have an Ultimate or Enterprise subscription.

To view your language options, log into the platform (https://login.telogis.com/) with an administrator (or main) account, and then click the account name in the upper right corner of the screen. Click Settings in the menu that opens, and then click the User tab on the dialog box that opens.

Click the Language drop-down box on this tab to see all of the languages that are available to you. Note that Spotlight only supports the 11 shown above.

If you do not have an Ultimate or Enterprise subscription, your Fleet and Spotlight interfaces support only English.

Configuration Options

If your subscription includes multi-language support, all new user accounts within your organization inherit the language specified by your 'main' user (that is, the primary administrative account) in the Verizon Connect platform interface, if that language is among the supported languages shown above.

For example, if your main user sets their default language to French, all new user accounts created thereafter will see the platform and Spotlight interfaces displayed in the French language. To change the default language for future platform and Spotlight accounts:

  • Sign into the platform at https://login.telogis.com/ using your main administrator account.
  • Click your account name in the upper right corner of the screen, and then click the Settings option. The Settings dialog box opens.
  • Click the User tab, and then choose a language from the Language drop-down box.
  • Click the Save button and then log out of the platform and log back in.

It is important to note that, after making this change, the language shown to existing accounts is not changed: only the default language for new user accounts.

To change the language on existing user accounts:

  • Sign into the platform at https://login.telogis.com/ using your main administrator account.
  • Click the Tasks section of the main menu, and then the Subusers link.
  • Click the name of a subuser. The Edit User dialog box opens.
  • Click the Details tab, and then choose a language from the Language drop-down box.
  • Click the Save button. When the subuser next logs into the platform or the Spotlight app, they will see the new language interface.

NOTE: If your account is currently configured to use a language other than English, your language settings might be based on a selected geographic region, rather than a specific language. In these accounts, no Language drop-down is visible. Newer versions of the Spotlight app will inherit the language settings for this region, provided it uses one of the supported languages shown above.
